KidzQuest Treasure hunts are based on orienteering where the object is to navigate one’s way through a series of checkpoints using the aid of a map.
However, in a KidzQuest treasure hunt, one also has to collect a number of clues in order to crack the code, solve the riddle and find the key to the treasure.
In a KidzQuest Treasure Hunt every child takes home some treasure. In fact, the treasure hunt is designed in such a way so that every child receives the same amount of treasure. The treasure is usually gold chocolate coins. Extra prizes, however, are given to the child who actually finds the key.
KidzQuest Treasure Hunts take place every school holiday as part of the Gold Coast City Council Active & Healthy program. Just click on this link to find out when the next treasure hunt is on. school holiday program
